A Landmark in More Ways Than One!

DRC is a leading F&B manufacturing and distribution company in the lower gulf.

It is strategically located at the heart of the new industrial hub midway between Dubai and Abu Dhabi, at Dubai Investment Park. The new site is state of art that meets the current requirements of the industry.

More significant is the fact that the company introduced the Pepsi range of products to the UAE and has been doing the same successfully for almost 60 years.

The business began as a limited liability company by Decree of His Highness, The Ruler of Dubai and in July 1994, it amended its status as a Public Shareholding company. In 1962 DRC was appointed as the sole franchisee and distributor for Pepsi Co. The company’s vision has always been to be the lower Gulf’s leading F&B company, driven by top caliber people, equipped with the right tools and solid systems. A wide distribution network ensures PepsiCo products are readily available to customers all over the UAE and many parts of the world.

OUR HISTORY

Appointed as the sole franchisee and distributor for Pepsi Co. It is the first company to introduce soft drinks to the UAE.

1962

1959

His Highness Sheikh Rashid Bin Sayed Al Maktoum, The First Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai established the DRC Factory located in Maktoum Street in Deira with 1 production line for Pepsi Returnable Bottles (RB) with 20 employees.

DRC launched the first Mirinda Range.

1974

1977

DRC launched the first 355ml Can production line.

DRC re-located its factory from Deira to the monumental landmark on Sheikh Zayed Road.

1978

1982

DRC launched the first Mountain Dew cans.

DRC acquired 7up from NRC.

2003

2004

DRC launch Aquafina and purchased a new factory in Dibba to bottle Aquafina.

DRC signed a distribution agreement for Lipton Ice Tea.

2006

2007

DRC was floated on the Dubai Stock Exchange as a Public Shareholding Company. One production line was added which increased the capacity to 20 million raw cases per annum.

DRC crossed 1,000 employees mark and received the below 3 awards:
• 2 MRMBA awards (Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Business Award) for best company in the manufacturing sector and overall most outstanding business performance award for the year 2012.
• The Dubai Quality Appreciation award

DRC Greenfield state-of-the-art factory completed with 5 production lines built for a current capacity of 120 million raw cases per annum.
